This morning, our budding musicians were visited by James Mountain, an award winning Australian film composer, who explained all the processes involved in making a piece of music for a film. We then listened to some of James' music, and talked about the emotions it displayed, as well as where the song might be played within a film. It was exciting to see our learners discuss all the things that allow music to tell a story, and we were very thankful for James spending his time to discuss it with us!

Well done P4-7! Success all round and very interesting designs.
As a part of our maths learning, every Friday, our mathematicians join forces in order to solve problems that may not have one answer. Using our co-created success criteria, our learners are able to know when and how they can demonstrate their learning, their working out, and their use of metaskills.
"We need to use sense making when reading a problem to help us understand what the question is actually asking us!"
"We need to use adapting to help us deal with new information that we might not have seen before!"
As a part of learning French phrases, our P4-7 learners took on a challenge - playing snakes and ladders (serpents et echelles) en Francais! Using challenging clue cards, our francophiles demonstrated how to say who they are, where they might live, and how they are feeling!
The children in the P4-7 Class had fun undertaking a problem solving activity during 'Tackie-It-Tuesday' with Mrs McIntosh. Some very inventive ideas!
