Hello students!
August is here, and that means it’s time to head back to school. Whether you’re feeling excited, nervous, or somewhere in between, it’s completely normal! This month’s newsletter is all about preparing your mind and emotions for a successful start to the school year.
🧠 Mental Health Tip of the Month:
Practice the 3 R’s – Routine, Rest, and Reach Out
Routine: Start easing into a school schedule now. Go to bed and wake up closer to school times so the transition isn’t a shock.
Rest: Aim for 8-10 hours of sleep a night. Good sleep = better mood and focus.
Reach Out: Feeling overwhelmed? Talk to a friend, parent, or school counselor. You’re not alone!
📅 Back-to-School Checklist for Your Mind:
✅ Practice positive self-talk: Replace “I’m not good at this” with “I’m learning and improving.”
✅ Set 1-2 personal goals for the semester (academic or emotional).
✅ Make time for breaks and fun — balance is key.
✅ Know your support system: Who can you turn to if you’re stressed?
