Mrs. Renee Pearce, MS Teacher
Hello! I have been teaching for over 20 years now. It is something I always knew I wanted to do. Both my mother and grandmother were teachers, and my sister became an Art teacher as well!
I have been working at the Middle School as the Gifted and Talented teacher for 16 years. Before that I taught second grade here at MW, and 4th grade in the Cornwall School District.
I did my undergraduate work at Rider University in Elementary Education and Communications, with a concentration in Speech. I got my Masters in Gifted and Talented Education at the University of Connecticut.
As a student, I attended the Monroe-Woodbury School District and North Main. I participated in the Gifted and Talented program too! I can remember being part of an Invention Convention and Odyssey of the Mind.
I live in Highland Mills with my husband, our dog, Fischer and our cats Henry & Harry. Our son, Lincoln is 12 (and my student) and our daughter, Andie, is 9.
In my free time I LOVE to read, go antiquing, do crossword puzzles, go hiking with the dog, and am an avid sports fan! I competed on the Diving Team in High School and college and currently work as an official for Varsity Swimming meets.
