Curriculum Maps K-6

The Literacy, Science, and Social Studies Team members met in summer  2025 to align MVSD's science and social studies units with literacy.  In the process, we developed the K-6 Curriculum Maps  below as a guide for teachers as they teach literacy, math, science, social studies, and SEL through the year.   There are different versions for grade levels that may be departmentalized. After collecting feedback from teachers at the end of the 2025-26 school year, we finalized them.  We will refine these  as needed, as we continue to gather feedback from teachers.

If you are a MVSD parent or caregiver, we hope this gives you a glance of what your child will be learning in Kindergarten through grade 6.  Please do reach out to your child's teacher to gather ideas on how you can support your child's learning at home.  The collaboration between home and school is very beneficial for our students and we appreciate your support.
