Gear Up
GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. The grant is a cohort model designed to help students successfully complete middle school, graduate from high school, and to transfer and graduate from college. Student resources include: Academic planning, Career exploration, Tutoring support, Field trips/college visits, and more. Serving the Class of 2023 and 2024 and 2025.

College Success Foundation
At CSF, we work with staff and students by providing a unique integrated system of support and scholarships for under-served, low-income students to finish high school, graduate from college, and succeed in life. We have two programs we’ll be incorporating this year – the Higher Education Readiness Opportunity (HERO) for 9th and 10th graders and the Achievers Scholars program for 11th and 12th graders.

Educational Talent Search
The Educational Talent Search mission is to promote opportunities for those seeking to pursue higher education and to provide educational support to limited-income and first generation students. This year ETS will serve approximately 120 students at Mount Vernon High School.

College Advising Corps
A University of Washington partnership, College Advising Corp is dedicated to empowering Washington’s youth with knowledge, tools and support in their pursuit of post-secondary education and by creating pathways to more equitable opportunities by disrupting traditional systems of access. We aid with college applications, personal statements, and financial aid. Our advisers have one-on-one counseling session with high school seniors, conduct financial aid education, and actively involve parents and care givers in their student’s post-secondary decision process.
