The High School and Beyond Plan empowers students to explore their interests and strengths, select courses that align with future goals, and demonstrate readiness for college, careers, and life. Serving as a personalized guide, this plan supports students in making informed decisions as they prepare for success beyond high school.
Washington State Graduation Requirement: Under Washington State law (RCW 28A.230.090), completing a High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) is a graduation requirement for every student. Students will not graduate without fully completing their HSBP each year. This plan is reviewed and updated annually to reflect evolving goals, interests, and postsecondary pathways.
Mount Vernon School District students are required to complete their High School and Beyond Plan through SchooLinks. Students will complete their High School and Beyond Plan tasks each year in grade level classes. For Running Start/NCTA students, you can will need to complete your High School and Beyond Plan To Do List at your own pace.
