Pizza with a Pro Overview:

Pizza with a Pro is a Career Guest Speaker series that allows local businesses to speak to MVHS students about their career and/or industry. This lunch time activity, so please view our bell schedule for specific times.  Please note, Wednesday is an early release day.  (Pizza and a drink will be provided to presenters).

Address: Mount Vernon High School, 1075 E. Fulton Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 

Parking and Check-in: Visitor spots are located in the south lot (by the flagpole outside of Old Main) or in front of the gym.  Please check in at the Administration building then walk north towards the cafeteria. The College and Career Center has an exterior door off Friendship Circle just prior to the west entrance of the cafeteria, you will see a sign advertising the event outside of the door.

The format for the luncheon is informal and presentation is optional.   The purpose is to have students learn and explore careers in our community.    Below are some questions that may help frame your presentation:

What is your job title and job description?

What type of education is required?  Where did you attend school?

What is a typical workday like?

What is the local/regional job demand?  

What types of skills are required to be successful in your field?

What are some entry level positions in your industry?  

How did you decide this was the career for you?  

What can I expect to earn as a beginner in this field? 

What other careers could I have with your degree?  

How do you see jobs changing in this field in the next 5 years?  

What classes should I take in high school to be prepared for this field?  

What advice can you give to high school students about this field?
