Summer School & Credit Recovery
Summer School & Credit Recovery
At the end of each school year, students who are eligible for summer school are identified by administration and the school counselors. Those students and their families are then notified of that eligibility and arrangements are made for students to be placed in the appropriate courses.
All summer school courses at Mid Valley are completed through Edmentum online programming, and typically take place over a set period of 4 weeks in the summer where students come into the high school building to complete their work.Â
While not always possible, at Mid Valley, every effort is made for summer school to be free of charge to students and families.
Mid Valley Summer School 2026 will begin Monday, June 15th and end on Thursday, July 16th. Students will complete their work at Mid Valley Monday through Thursday with the exception of Thursday, July 2nd and Monday, July 6th. Courses will be offered through the Edmentum online platform.
For more information about how to get signed up for summer courses, please contact your child's school counselor.
Other options for credit recovery or participation in full courses do exist. Below is a sampling of options that are available to students. Generally, as long as an official transcript from an accredited high school program is able to be received, the credit can count toward graduation. Students/families should always consult with their school counselor prior to signing up for any such course. Some options may not be possible.
Any costs incurred from credit recovery or additional courses taken from the options below or outside of Mid Valley's official summer school program will be the full responsibility of the student. Click the images below for more information about each.
