Hi! My name is Jalila Lee and I am one of the Speech Language Pathologists working with the Adult Transition Program. I work with students on a variety of skills including expressive and receptive language, pragmatics, articulation and intelligibility, and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and two rascally dogs. I am so excited to be working with the amazing students and staff in the ATP!
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist which is the same thing a speech therapist or in a school a speech teacher. You can remember my name by thinking of what you use to catch a butterfly...A net = Annette or Miss Annette.
I have three adult children, they are 30, 27 and 24. I have a husband and his name is Scott. He plays in a band and coaches Rugby at Santa Clara University.
I love the Warriors and watch all the games. I like other sports but not as much as basketball. I do like soccer and I used to play soccer while I was in high school and college. I grew up in Los Altos and went to Los Altos High School. I now live in San Jose.
I also love animals. I have had two dogs, a bunny, and a turtle and helped take care of my friend's cat. My dog Bentley was the last pet I had and he passed away about 2 years ago.
I love to travel to different places. My favorite cities in the US are New Orleans, New York and most of all I love San Francisco. My most favorite place to be is the beach. Someday I hope to live at the beach.
My favorite thing about working in a school are the students. I have lots of fun teaching and enjoy watching my students learn new things.
