Unit 9 Student Advice:
Don't give up. Just try your hardest and be able to get some things wrong sometimes, you will not always get chemistry but you need to be able to learn from your mistakes and do try the problem again. Making mistakes is completely normal, when you are doing a math problem and you just completely bomb it, look at your notes and try it again. I believe in you and I know you can do it. (AS, class of '23)
Pay attention in class and do the practice problems because without those you will be clueless on quizzes and tests. (EA, class of '23)
Take 30 minutes the night before a test and actually go through your packet with a partner so you can see if they can help you out on anything and vice versa. (DM, class of 23)
I can explain how and why different materials are influenced by heat energy differently.
I can apply the law of conservation of energy in calculations and conceptual discussions regarding heat/energy transfer.
I can articulate or calculate the conceptual and mathematical relationship between heat and temperature.
I can write thermochemical equations and describe why and how energy is a product or a reactant in a system.
Try to go through these flash cards a few times before you take your test!!
