Connect academic content in all classes to the Michigan career clusters and embed across curriculum. 

A variety of video links explaining different careers have been added to this section for you to introduce career clusters during the course of teaching any subject. We know that students who do not see (or have knowledge of) a large variety of careers are not likely to feel as if they have many options for their future. By incorporating a quick video or career conversation into your daily lessons, students are able to broaden their knowledge about career options. When a student can make the school-career connection, they become a more engaged student in your classroom. High student engagement benefits everyone! 

• Xello Subject Area Teaching Resources - Integrating Xello in subject area classrooms with a short student facing video for each subject and 3 lesson plans per subject.

• Careeronestop Career Cluster Videos - Career videos are organized into 16 clusters, or related types of work. Select a category to view a list of videos related to that cluster. Videos include career details such as tasks, work settings, education needed, and more. 

• Let's Learn About the 16 Career Clusters - 5 minute video created by SRES Counseling based around the 16 National Career Clusters.

• Junior Achievement Career Speaker Video Series - with follow up Classroom Assignment ideas for Middle School.

• Imagine the Possibilities - Variety of career videos from Toyota Wellspring Education Fund.

• Michigan Learning Channel - 6th - 8th grade career chats, career exploration, and videos by school subject and career.

• Health Science Careers - Michigan Health Council provides a comprehensive website with information on 27 healthcare occupations with additional occupations coming soon, including current workforce data, relevant legislation, hourly wages, job titles, employment statistics, related initiatives, career pathways, and more.

• Ag Explorer - Offering various virtual field trips, videos and other resources to help students explore careers in Agriculture.  

• Discovery Education - Career Connections - Career Connect builds students’ curiosity and career readiness by connecting K – 12 classrooms with diverse industry professionals.
