6th Grade Drop Off & Pick Up Location
Our grade level has been designated the ORANGE ZONE (Entry/Exit #1)
Please study the map to ensure your family arrives at the correct location every day and exits as suggested to reduce traffic during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. Our intermediate school day runs from 8:15 a.m. to 2:18 p.m.
Important Websites
Main source of communication from your child's teacher, school admin, PTA, and school district
Where you can check your student's attendance and end-of-semester report cards (January & June)
Our new-and-improved school website is regularly updated with important dates and need-to-knows
Students have access to the paper menu in class each day & families may access the digital menu if needed
Marshall Pomeroy Family Handbook
Please take some time to peruse our school's updated Digital Family Handbook for 2025-2026.
It contains everything families need to know regarding our school policies, bell schedules, scheduled minimum days (specific to Pomeroy), important contact info, uniform specifics, and so much more.
After parent/guardian perusal, I recommend reviewing the contents with your child before starting school.
Supporting Your Child
There are many different things you can do to support your child at home. Here are a few suggestions:
Encourage your child to read and write at home. Read to/with them or, even better, have them read to you! Even 30 minutes per day can make a world of difference.
Check their homework regularly. If they're struggling, encourage them to keep trying.
If possible, dedicate a small area of your home to be your child's dedicated study space - somewhere they are less likely to be distracted by noise, television, video games, siblings, etc.
Have regular conversations with your child about school. Ask them what they are learning, loving, or struggling with. Remind them that there is a healthy struggle in learning and growing. Checking in on your child regularly will also encourage them to think about their own areas of growth and reflect on what they would like to improve in.
