Lauren Roberson is the Nutrition Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Health Sciences, School of Nursing and Health Professions at Murray State University. She earned her PhD in Health and Strategic Communication, Master’s in Dietetic Administration., and Bachelor’s in Dietetics from the University of Kentucky in 2020, 2014, and 2012, respectively. Lauren is a registered dietitian with expertise in the community sector. She serves as the Past-President and Honors and Awards Chair for the Bluegrass Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition, at the state level, Lauren serves as the Member Value Chair for the Kentucky Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her research interests include: nutrition and aging, nutrition education program development, evaluation, promoting behavior change through motivational mechanisms, health interventions, and health campaigns. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys hiking, kayaking, cooking, baking, and playing with her 4 dogs at the dog park.
