Mission Statement for YDTF: “The Youth Development Task Force (YDTF) purpose is to continuously support, monitor, work and raise awareness on mental and physical health and safety issues of Lycoming County youth.”

This week the Youth Development Task Force (YDTF) hosted a county-wide spirit week to raise awareness of ongoing problems within the community. A different color was represented each day to indicate the specific problems.
YDTF Spirit Week
Green represents Mental Health Awareness. Mental Health is significantly important among our youth. Research shows that 1/7 of 10-19 year olds struggle with a mental health issue. Speak up! You are not alone!
Red represents Substance Abuse. Research shows that 7.22% of Pennsylvania teens age 12-17 have reported using drugs in the last month. Fight against drug use!
Yellow represents Domestic Abuse Awareness. Domestic Abuse is an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, threatening, or violent behavior. Do not be afraid to search for support! Domestic Abuse Hotline: (800)-799-7233
Blue represents Suicide Awareness.
