Welcome to my ED 5131-91 Digital Citizenship Project and Activity
You will find attached my Digital Citizenship Project and Activity which acts as a compilation of evidence built from Cape Breton Universities ED-5132-91 class from January 2024 to April 2024. The project includes a lesson plan for a digital citizenship project, concept map related to whole project, and related assessment rubrics. This Digital Citizenship Project and Activity is in partial fulfillment for the requirements of ED 5131-91 at Memorial University and Cape Breton University for the Master of Education (Educational Technology).
Hello, my name is Andrew Conrad and I teach grade eight English Language Arts and Social Studies in Amherst, Nova Scotia. I believe technology integration is a key defining feature of my educational journey since beginning in 2020. I believe equity and inclusion are important elements of education and with/through technology we can begin to close the gap. At my school, over half live in rural areas with roughly a third of the students living in poverty. I am eager to explore how to introduce technology into the classroom to benefit learners, in order to create a more equitable classroom. Through our course in Digital Citizenship I am learning how to expand my educational practice to become a more accessible technology-based teacher.
For my Digital Citizenship Project and Activity and I intend to show you an example of how I would use Digital Citizenship practices in a classroom and expand an a-typical classroom with technology based practices.
