Introduction:
The purpose of the overall project is to provide students with interactive lessons and activities which educate them on various aspects of digital citizenship, relating back to digital etiquette or “Netiquette”. Students would engage with various activities which educate them on digital topics of privacy, safety, security, etiquette and literacy. These overarching ideas relate to the themes presented by Ribble (2015) for the purpose of building digital citizenship skills in relation to grade eight literary outcomes.
The concept map below outlines a facilitation of information to build digital literacy and citizenship skills for learners developing technological skills. The outline references key areas of which build a foundation for digital citizenship for successful collaboration with the online world and those present.
