**What GPA do I need to apply?**
Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 94.5 or higher to be eligible for consideration. (Applies to all Middle School classes of 2027 and beyond). Current class of 2026, please see advisors for requirements.
**Does a high GPA guarantee acceptance?**
No. While academic achievement is required, selection is based on all five pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. The Faculty Council reviews the complete application.
**Can I apply more than once?**
Yes. If you are not selected in 7th grade and continue to meet academic requirements, you may apply again in 8th grade. [See advisors for how applications for 8th graders work].
**How many community service hours do I need?**
A minimum of 25 documented hours since the beginning of 6th grade is required for application. These hours must be verified by adult supervisors.
**What counts as community service?**
Voluntary activities performed for others (not immediate family) without compensation. See the application for detailed qualifying activities.
**Can my parent sign as an activity sponsor?**
No. All activity sponsors must be non-family members who supervised or coached the activity.
**What if I don't have any leadership positions?**
Leadership can be demonstrated in many ways beyond formal titles. The essay is an opportunity to describe how you've shown leadership through initiative, collaboration, or positive influence on others.
**How many students are selected each year?**
The number varies based on the strength of the applicant pool and demonstration of the five pillars. There is no set quota.
