Students work together with their teachers to establish a classroom routine, classroom contract, and form our classroom values. Through our Cub Core Values, we will explore and learn through taking turns, sharing kind words, creating safe spaces, and sharing friendly faces. We will use the words expected actions and unexpected actions to help facilitate problem-solving skills. We will also explore the size of a second grade problem and knowing when to ask for help.
Students will Identify what needs and wants are, identify what basic goods and services are, explain how scarcity affects the cycle of supply and demand, differentiate between a consumer and a producer, and explain the importance of a budget and saving.
Students will learn all about the services the community provides. We will dive into the history of Montgomery township, the four regions of New Jersey, and how we work together as a community.
