Science

Scientists work with hands-on materials to explore properties of materials. We also classify solids and liquids. Scientists will also consider what properties a hat will need if we are on an island. 

What changes land more, wind or water? Students will explore this guiding question through hands-on experiments involving rocks, sand, and much more! Scientists will also work with maps and learn about map keys, cardinal directions, and more!

Scientists explore living things including plants and animals. Scientists will grow and track the growth of a Wisconsin Fast Plant, and students will also discuss what their plant needs to survive. Scientists will discover how life cycles of animals and plants repeat, and how seeds of plants can travel. Scientists will pollinate their Wisconsin Fast Plant, and scientists will discuss the importance of saving the bees in our world.
