Unit 2 Skills to Be Covered:

• Interpret products of whole numbers

•  Match a multiplication expression or equation with a story problem

• Solve multiplication story problems with products to 100 involving situations of equal groups and arrays

• Solve for the unknown in a multiplication equation involving 3 whole numbers

• Multiply using the commutative property

• Solve division problems by finding an unknown factor

• Fluently multiply with products to 100 using strategies

• Solve two-step story problems using addition, subtraction, and multiplication

• Identify patterns among basic multiplication facts, including patterns in the multiplication table, and explain them by referring to properties of the operation

• Make a scaled pictograph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories; solve one-step comparison problems using data shown on a scaled bar graph with several categories

Math Homework!

* Please have your child practice his/her basic facts for 10 minutes each day.

* Also, about 3 times per week, I will start sending home a math worksheet for additional   practice/homework.  Kindly send me an email if it is too much for your child to complete.

     *Do two pages in the packet from Mrs. Cresap.

    * Use a Math "Wrap up"  (These can be borrowed or purchased on Amazon)

    * Freckle Basic Fact practice

    * Good Ol' Fashion Flash Cards
