Homework Expectations
1.) Math: Each and every night, it is expected that your child practice his/her basic fact recall. June's expectation is that all multiplication facts, up to 10 X 10 , be mastered. Monday-Thursday evenings 10 minutes of basic math fact practice is required. Here are some ways that your child can practice their facts:
Flashcards
The computer- using Freckle on the computer. This will be taught in the classroom & in technology class. Other websites are acceptable too.
Worksheets- Packets will be sent home shortly.
Simple verbal quizzes

2.) Reading: This year, your 3rd grader will be expected to read each night for at least 20 minutes.

Homework for Week of September 6, 2023
As noted above, please have your child practice his/her basic facts AND read for 20 minutes.
Pictures- By Monday, if possible, have your child bring two photos to school. The photos need to be of them. Also, the photos will be cut for a project. Lastly, about 5 images that represent them. ie: image/picture of a soccer ball if he/she likes soccer. Other examples include images of maybe a piano, crayon, book (etc). Each images should represent a hobby/interest of your child. PLEASE let me know if you do not have a computer and/or a printer for printing these images! If your child does not have access to a computer and/or printer, I will definately allow him/her to print the images in school. These will be used for a project! ** Your child can bring the photos and images to school as soon as he/she has them!! Thank you!
