Homework Expectations

1.)  Math:  Each and every night, it is expected that your child practice his/her basic fact recall.  June's expectation is that all multiplication facts, up to 10 X 10 , be mastered.  Monday-Thursday evenings 10 minutes of basic math fact practice is required.   Here are some ways that your child can practice their facts:

• Flashcards

• The computer- using Freckle on the computer.  This will be taught in the classroom & in technology class.  Other websites are acceptable too.

• Worksheets- Packets will be sent home shortly. 

• Simple verbal quizzes

Also, about 3 times per week, I will start sending home a math worksheet for additional practice/homework.  Kindly send me an email if it is too much for your child to complete. 

2.) Reading:  This year, your 3rd grader will be expected to read each night for at least 20 minutes.
