Mentor Teacher: Nancy Baines, Grade 1

My final practicum experienced deeply impacted me as a teacher. Some of my duties during this practicum included;

• Teaching 100% of my Mentor Teacher's work load for 5 weeks. 

• Communicating directly with parents regarding student work, behaviour, and academic level.

• Helping to run the Orff ensemble club, and supporting their performance.

Mentor Teacher: Victoria Jacobson, Grade 2

It was such a pleasure being in a grade two classroom at Olympic Heights School. This experience really helped shape who I am as a teacher, and allowed me to build my confidence in the classroom. Some notable experiences I had during my third year practicum are as follows; 

• Planned, facilitated, and assessed multiple learning activities, including multiple integrated lessons. 

• Used the UFLI scope and sequence to provide literacy support. 

• Created and maintained trusting relationships with students.
