I am currently employed at WJ Agency as a social media specialist and have been working in this position since July 2022. WJ Agency is a marketing agency based in Calgary that builds cohesive marketing strategies, ads campaigns, and rebranding projects for clients from various industry backgrounds such as oil and gas, new technology, healthcare, Indigenous communities, real estate, and more.
In my role as a social media specialist I have assisted with and lead multiple client accounts which presented me with many key duties, including:
Social media calendar planning and development.
Researching, developing, and pitching social media strategy to clients.
Assistance in developing content copywriting, as well as creative graphics and videos on a need-be basis.
Researching and performing outreach and engagement tactics on client company pages for both B2B and consumer audiences.
Collecting monthly and quarterly analytics reports with insights for content performance monitoring and improvement.
Briefing and coordinating teams of copywriters and creative designers with supportive elements such as keywords, hashtags, social media visual specs, branding, and 'tone of voice' resources to ensure effective content is made within client budgets and timelines.
In addition to my social media roles, I played a critical supportive role in the transfer of the company's client and project data from our old Intervals software to our new monday.com CRM platform. I wrote out training processes that outlined the software's use and navigation, as well as migrated all the data into the new structure.
