True North Trajectory Disc Golf (TNTDG) was created to help establish a stronger presence of disc golf in Alberta as the game continues to grow rapidly. This project was started alongside fellow classmate, Joshua Scrimshaw, in hopes of exploring our passion for disc golf and building a community around it.
This initiative has provided the opportunity to learn and develop significant videography and post-production editing skills, social media content management, graphics design, photography and community outreach.
I have volunteered my time to the Calgary Disc Golf Club (CDGC) to help design a new logo for an upcoming junior "Chain Smashers" tournament and helped create a video promoting the latest Calgary disc golf course, Currie Reservoir.
This video was completed recently in hopes to promote the new disc golf course in Calgary as the 2022 season approaches. The video was filmed by both Josh and I, but the editing of the video and graphic images were all completed by me.
Software used in the process was the Affinity Design, Affinity Photo and Davinci Resolve 17 platforms, where I am most experienced and fluent in creative works.
This video was a contracted job that I took on from the Albert Youth Disc Golf organization. This job was conducted entirely by me. In this project, I planned and shot B-Roll footage, coordinated strategic photo and video shots with the event leads and participants, produced commentary and music, and edited the footage inside Davinci Resolve into highlights and gameplay videos for the client.
An Instagram account was created to facilitate a lot of TNTDG's content and video updates. The page will feature anything in video promotion, funny clip edits, follower discussion points, custom disc golf memes and many more.
Ongoing research and implementation of strategic hashtags, keywords, Reels, stories, and linktree tactics have been used to help grow the following of the page.
The image on the left is the final design I created that was accepted by the CDGC leadership team for use in their upcoming junior tournament launch, Chain Smashers.Â
