Pharmacy V.I.P.2 Day October 9th at University of Findlay
A personalized experience for your high-achieving students! Most high school students are familiar with the roles of physicians and nurses. Our V.I.P.2 Experience will introduce them to the expanding role of pharmacists in clinical, retail, and health promotion settings. Your students will get a real “taste” of pharmacy practice, as they spend time in the pharmacy lab compounding, learn about physical assessment and fill prescriptions under the supervision of College of Pharmacy faculty and teaching assistants. They’ll get an overview of the pharmacy program and some souvenirs to take home!

A successful interview starts with confidence — and confidence comes from preparation! Whether you’re applying for a part-time job, internship, or scholarship, these tips will help you make a great first impression.
Before the Interview
Research the organization. Know what they do, their values, and what position you’re applying for.
Review your resume. Be ready to talk about your experiences, strengths, and goals.
Practice common interview questions, such as:
“Tell me about yourself.”
“What are your strengths and weaknesses?”
“Why do you want to work here?”
“Describe a challenge you’ve faced and how you handled it.”
Prepare questions to ask the interviewer — it shows initiative! (Example: “What qualities do you value most in team members?”)
During the Interview
Dress appropriately. Choose neat, professional clothing that fits the setting.
Arrive early. Aim to be 10–15 minutes early if in person, or log in a few minutes early for a virtual interview.
Bring your resume and any requested materials.
Make eye contact, smile, and listen carefully. Show enthusiasm and respect.
Answer thoughtfully and honestly. If you’re unsure, it’s okay to pause and think before responding.
After the Interview
Send a thank-you note or email. A short, sincere message thanking the interviewer for their time goes a long way.
Reflect on your experience. What went well? What could you improve next time?
Follow up if you were told a decision timeline has passed and you haven’t heard back.
