Over the weekend, Workday released its latest updates to the system. We’re sharing with you things to be aware of that will help streamline how you interact with the platform and manage your daily tasks.
Improved Global Navigation: Just off the home page, the main menu has been redesigned to feature categories that group apps and other tools together thematically. Categories of note:
Learning Management: Click for a quick jump over to Workday Learning to find your required trainings, saved WIGs, and more resources.
Organization: Find common tasks and hubs, including expenses and purchase requisitions.
Personal: You’ll find time, absence, pay, and more items related to your position.
My Team: For managers, quick access to all-things regarding your team!
External Links: NEW & AWESOME- We’re now able to provide links to other frequently used MHC systems and pages right from Workday!
Some things to know about this new menu set up:
You can scroll down to the gear icon to customize your menu to add things you use more frequently, and remove things that don’t apply - just follow this Workday instructional guide.
Any tasks that aren't in the menu are still available! Just use the search bar to look for tasks, reports, and people.
The Saved button (lower left corner) provides a single location for any tasks, reports, or shortcuts you've saved for easy access.
Enhanced search: Major enhancement! The Workday Self-Service Agent will begin using your search history to better curate results going forward. Since we use text to look up certain tasks and people in the system, this will be a major win to find information and complete simple tasks using natural language.
We want to ensure a smooth transition for everyone. If you have questions or encounter any issues with the new features, the following resources are available:
Submit a Help Ticket: If you notice something isn't working as expected, please submit a formal request through our technical support portal. This allows our team to track and resolve your concerns efficiently.
Zoom Drop-In Sessions: The Workday support team will host live Zoom sessions beginning the week of March 16 through the month of April. No registration is required—just drop in to ask questions or get a quick walkthrough of the new navigation.
