Q: How do I use the materials on this site?
A: These materials are intended for training students who will be involved in the instruction of other students (teaching assistants, peer mentors, etc.) to help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. For details on how to create your own training program using these materials, check out the Getting Started page.
Q: I want to train my TAs to interact appropriately with my students, but I'm not familiar with the topics in your materials and don't have much experience leading these sorts of discussions.
A: We didn't know much about these topics either when we started, so please don't let that stop you! We think that training student workers is an important part of creating an inclusive learning environment. Especially if you feel like you are stepping out of your comfort zone with a training program such as this, we strongly recommend reading the information about this curriculum and our tips for facilitating discussions.
