EmotoBot activity is very hands-on and thinking activity. I can connect to many topics I learned in class. Self-efficacy and mindset, during the production process I didn’t stop telling myself, I can do it, instead of building up emotobot is difficult. Maintaining a positive mindset is very important in the self-made process. Because this can help us calm down and think instead of facing difficulties with impetuous anxiety. And a calm mind can also make me more creative, because during the production process I can think about whether the lines are connected correctly and how I can make this product better.
Active listening and emotional intelligence also play very important roles, because the process of making emotobot requires a lot of group activities and interaction with team members. Effectively articulating ideas and receiving feedback with empathy and openness facilitated smoother communication and enhanced the overall quality of our work. In the process of making EmotoBot, I worked with Marie and Victoria. I loved the way we communicate with each other. We would try each other's ideas if we had different opinions. They actively listened to me and helped me if I had any challenges. Reflecting on this, I realize the importance of cultivating these interpersonal skills not only in project-based settings but also in various aspects of life where collaboration and understanding are paramount.
Looking back, I must admit that I initially had doubts about my ability to create a bot capable of expressing emotions. The concept seemed daunting, especially considering the intricate dynamics of Human-Robot Interaction involved. However, as I successfully navigated through the project with the support of my classmates and professor, I was reminded of the power of perseverance and the belief that anything is possible with dedication and collaboration. This experience solidified my long-held belief that with determination and support, even the most daunting challenges can be overcome.
