Counseling is a helping relationship aimed at assisting individuals in discovering their abilities, interests, and potentials. It supports students in personal and academic decision-making, managing adjustment, and addressing issues that are important to them. This relationship is designed to foster growth, enhance problem-solving skills, and promote informed decision-making.
Aside from counseling, the GCD is also available for consultation to the administration, faculty and staff, as well as to parents, in order to maximize student progress.
R-Cube is a unique campus spot that transforms during examination weeks, providing a haven for students to unwind and relax during their breaks. It offers a variety of themes and activities to cater to different experiences.

The GCD offers students essential mental health resources and experiences through a variety of planned and organized activities. These include talks, training and workshops, social media and bulletin board postings, and other psychoeducational initiatives, all aimed at fostering a well-informed and mentally healthy campus community.
The GCD offers an online lecture on Psychological First Aid for both employees and students.
This program is designed to equip the Tytana community with the necessary knowledge to effectively respond to crisis situations.
The lecture is delivered through modules comprising 3-4 short videos and quizzes. Participants who successfully complete the course receive a certificate.
The Helping Professional Circle (HPC) consists of faculty members with advisory roles, as well as interested part-time faculty and non-teaching employees.
HPC members undergo training to develop the skills necessary for effectively supporting students facing mental health challenges and other concerns that may affect their academic well-being.
Employees who wish to join the HPC are encouraged to apply here.
Through psychological tests conducted by licensed psychometricians and interpreted by counselors, students gain a realistic appraisal of their needs, strengths, weakness, abilities, interests and personality traits.
Test records are kept in individual student’s cumulative folders, and students are encouraged to know more about themselves through test interpretation or self-discovery sessions provided by counselors.
To know more about the testing services, students can visit the Guidance and Counseling office.
