Before each semester, AP will initiate two meetings to discuss course & assessment scheduling & content integration.

Before the course, AP will reach out to discuss course needs and support for resources, materials, & activities.

After the course, AP will initiate a course debrief session to discuss opportunities for continuous quality improvement.

ID&A will help create syllabus course objectives and select instructional and assessment methods.

ID&A will ensure alignment with the D.O. program objectives & assessment plan along with accreditation standards/needs.

CAs use the preclerkship syllabus template to adhere to brand standards & University requirements.

Guidelines support a 1:2 ratio of direct to indirect instruction (i.e., 40 min. session = 80 min. "prep" &/or "homework").

Determine modes of content delivery that support objectives and content or allow contributing faculty to choose.

Use templates and tips for quiz or exam blueprinting, item writing, or item editing.

If re-using previous exam items, consider statistical performance of exam items to inform editing and re-use.

Prior to each exam, AP will send an exam draft for proofing & tagging. Tagging aids longitudinal competency tracking.

After each exam, ID&A will send an exam interpretation report to aid instructional intervention and re-scoring or editing.
