Technology in education is becoming more and more relevant and necessary. Through the technology course in the MAFLT program, I learned a lot about how to use technology effectively in a language classroom. We must learn how to find quality resources that can be easily accessed by students as well as know how to navigate and use multiple platforms to provide instruction and gather data from students.
The following Google Classroom is just a sample classroom, there are no official students, but it demonstrates a wide variety of activities that bring the language classroom to the learners.
Google Classroom has a lot of options and capabilities for including just about any kind of technology you want. This site shows how you can create a whole course with teaching materials, practice activities, assessment and feedback. There is also a direct link for incorporating synchronous learning experiences through Google Meet!
The following video walks you through my Google Classroom to explain how it's used.
The following unit plan demonstrates how to use corpus tools with language learners.
