How do I promote proficiency?
By creating an engaging environment where students feel safe to take risks and make mistakes. Through meaningful tasks that encourage the use of all language skills.
How do I engage and motivate learners?
By designing lesson activities that are relevant, fun, and thought-provoking. Through music, games, tasks, native-speaking ePals, and more!
How do I teach grammar and vocabulary?
By using a combination of both implicit and explicit instructional methods. Through repetition in variety of different contexts.
How do I raise intercultural awareness?
By providing opportunities for students to understand and reflect upon their own cultures, observe and reflect upon other cultures, make comparisons, and transform or decenter themselves. By teaching beyond product and practices and diving into perspectives.
