Experience

Provide academic support to assigned at-risk student population on academic skill integration
Hire, train, and manage of a team of 15-20 graduate students serving as learning assistants in coordination with the overall mission of the department
Maintain extensive documentation to track students’ academic progress
Create and maintain individualized academic support programs for at-risk students to ensure they are successful
Utilize assistive technologies to foster student mastery of concepts, knowledge and skills
Collaborate and communicate daily with the Tutorial Coordinator, Learning Specialists, and Academic Coordinators to fulfill the mission of the department
Serve as a liaison to the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities Office, coordinating academic accommodations for student-athletes who qualify

Communicated regularly with Academic Coordinators regarding the progress of student-athletes
Provided flexibility to meet at varying times with athletes in accordance with travel and scheduling conflicts

Built and maintained rapport through effective communication with a diverse group of students
Created lesson plans, instructed students, and answered students’ questions through email, in person, and during office hours
Recorded students’ attendance, assignments, and grades as well as input them into the course management system
Collaborated daily with Graduate Teaching Assistants to ensure student success
Communicated with Basic Instructional Program coordinator regularly regarding students with at-risk attendance
Problem solved facility and equipment conflicts

Supervised and participated in the preparation, painting, and clean-up of paint projects in the dorms
Supervised student crew during daily cleaning and painting tasks and trained new employees and student supervisors to perform job duties
Created and Implemented paint project schedule to ensure completion by proper deadline and kept detailed inventory of paint and paint supplies
Communicated project progress to facilities supervisor daily
Provided main customer service for residents and guests
Diagnosed, repaired student maintenance requests and purified and prepared vacant dorms for students
