Hi! My name is Kaila Hower. I grew up on a small farm in Marion, a rural village in northern Michigan. After high school, I went to Michigan State University and have been there ever since. I completed three degrees in Kinesiology/Psychology and Education. I currently work in a hybrid format for Michigan State University as a Learning Specialist. Through and through I am a Spartan.
I married my high school sweetheart, who happens to be my best friend. Together we have three children, one more (our last) on the way, and a big sweet dog. I am very close to my family. I spend most of my free time with my siblings, their children, and my parents. I love being an auntie and a mama!
Recently, my husband and our family made a big move back to our hometown to pursue his dream of owning his own archery business. It was a very scary transition, especially when the pandemic hit but it has been steadily growing. We love the sport of archery and we dream of teaching the next generation of archers.
I have been preoccupied with school and my children for most of my adult life but after graduation I hope to focus a little more on my own hobbies. I love to read, cook, hunt, fish, camp, ride horses, and garden. I hope to expand my vegetable garden this summer as well as get outside as much as possible! I grew up on a farm and I love farm life. I am hoping to get chickens this summer or next spring.
This is just a small glimpse into my life but I hope it helped you learn a little more about me!
