I began learning Japanese my freshman year of high school and enjoyed it so much that I spent all of my allotted time on the computer studying Japanese with online resources. I  decided that I wanted to learn more languages and began taking German the following year. After continuing studying both languages in college, I then had the opportunity to live in both Japan and Germany where I was able to practice my language skills and learn even more.

Learning Japanese and German has been life changing in many ways- personally and professionally. I discuss that impact and my experience teaching in the following interview with the Japan Foundation.
