Hello MMS families. My name is Jeannette Schorfheide or Ms. Jeannette. I am thrilled to start my 30th year as a school counselor as part of the MMS staff. While I have many years in school counseling I am still learning all things Mascoutah and thank you for your patience as I continue to grow into the role as the MMS School Counselor.
I graduated high school from Nashville Community High, went to Eastern Illinois University (Bleed Blue EIU) for 6 years graduating twice, a BS and an MS. I also have a second MS from McKendree University.
Middle school students are my favorite group of students. Watching students explore who they are, grow into who they will be, and begin to plan their future is the most exciting time.
Students in grades 6-8 will have hurdles during their journey. The MMS counseling and social work team (Student Services) is here to help guide them and help them problem solve, learn, and climb no matter the hurdles in front of them.
It is a pleasure to be here and I look forward to working with you and your students.
Ms. Jeannette

Students transferring from MMS will need to have the parent/guardian withdrawal form completed and returned to Ms. Jeannette before the student's last day. The student will need the student withdrawal form completed on their last day and returned to Ms. Jeannette. Parents/Guardians will need to have the new school send a record request to tibbettsd@msd19.org or schorfheidej@msd19.org.
Students with a military transfer, especially overseas, will need to have parents/guardians verify with the new school if hand carried records are appropriate. If so, please contact Ms. Jeannette, schorfheidej@msd19.org, so she knows to have records copied and sealed. All others will have the new school send a request for emailed records.
