CLASSROOM INFORMATION
SCHEDULE
The daily schedule will be posted on my SES webpage. My classroom doors open at 8:15 and we dismiss at 3:30. Every Wednesday we follow the “Early Out” schedule and we dismiss at 2:30.
COMMUNICATION
If you need to communicate with me, email is best. I can always access my email from home/phone even if I have a sub. amannja@msd19.org
TAKE HOME FOLDER
Your child will have a purple take home folder. This will go home every day and should be returned the next day. The left side will have homework that should “return to school” while the right side will have corrected papers and notes from school that you should “keep at home”.
AGENDAS
This is your child’s assignment book. It will go home every night with the assignment listed in it. Please review and return daily.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
Your child will be on my dismissal list as either a bus rider, car rider, walker, or youth center child. This is how I will send your child home each day. If plans change, you MUST email me by noon. I will not rely on the child’s verbal instructions. Please wait for my reply to know I have read it. It is for your child’s safety.
PERSONAL ITEMS
Students may bring in the following items:
sweater/sweatshirt to keep in locker in case he/she gets chilly
water bottle that is made of plastic and closes completely (no straw)
extra set of clothes for spills, recess incidents, or toileting accidents
***smart watches/cell phones should stay in backpack per handbook policy
LUNCH
Please pay for lunch fees online through Teacherease. If you are unable to, please secure money/check in an envelope or baggie with your child’s name on it.
You may have lunch with your child up to 4 times per year. Please do not bring in outside restaurant/fast food. The student may eat with 2 guests each time due to space. These guidelines are from the school policy handbook and are enforced by the office.
FIELD TRIP
You will receive the field trip information weeks ahead of time.
BIRTHDAYS
We will celebrate your child's birthday in class! We will sing Happy Birthday and I have a treat for him/her. Parents may send in store bought, individually-wrapped treats with a nutrition label if they wish. Bakery cupcakes are not allowed per school policy. It’s best to email me a few days prior to double check.
INVITATIONS
We are all friends in room 210! I am happy to send home invitations if you invite all girls, all boys, or the whole class. Contact me for a list of names. Invitations will be sent back home if the above request is not followed.
