All Pre-K through Grade 2 students in MSAD 52 have their own district Apple iPad.
In MSAD 52, we have common expectations for how students handle and use technology. Please watch the video below to learn about how your child can be safe, respectful, and responsible with their technology use, both at school and at home.
Keeping Your Child Focused with Guided Access and Screen Time on the iPad
Fixing Mic and Camera Issues on the iPad
Screen Recording on the iPad
All Pre-K through 2 students in MSAD 52 use Seesaw as their primary learning platform.
Seesaw is an app that allows teachers to assign interactive activities to students. Students can respond by creating artifacts that combine video, voice, drawing, text, and more to show what they are learning.
This 42 minute training session covers many of the basics that you'll need to know about how to access and use Seesaw at home, including logging in, finding and completing assignments, and using the various tools students will need to know to demonstrate their learning. I also discuss how parents can stay-up-to-date and connected with their teacher and their child's journal in the Seesaw Families app.

There are two different Seesaw apps: Seesaw Class and Seesaw Family. Seesaw Class is the app that students use to access and complete their virtual work. The Seesaw class app is installed on all student iPads and can be found on the bottom "dock" of the iPad's homescreen. The Seesaw Family app is the app that you can use to see the work that your child has posted to their journal, as well as to receive class announcements from and send messages to your child's teacher. Follow the links below to install and/or access Seesaw on your devices at home.
Uploading Videos and Photos to Seesaw
There are two video platforms being used in MSAD 52: Zoom and Google Meet. You will need to check with your child's teacher on what platform they are using for their class. Both apps are installed on your child's iPad and can be accessed from the bottom "dock" on the home screen.
Your child's teacher should be able to provide you with the links to access the video chats for their class. Following those links should bring you directly to the video chat for the class without needing to manually add session IDs or passcodes.
