Visual JournalingA visual journal can be a tool for many things. For example,we used our journals as a way to take notes or to record research about a famous artist. We used it as an outlet for our emotions. We used it as a place to experiment with art materials. We also used it as a place for processing new information in learning about implicit bias. Overall, a visual journal becomes a kind of diary, capturing our thoughts and experiences at a specific time. Responding to daily prompts, we learned different techniques and strategies for creating a visual journal. Along the way, we created some thoughtful and beautiful artwork.
