Taipei Municipal Xisong High School, located in Taipei, Taiwan, was established on September 9, 1954 during Taiwan's post-war era. We are a comprehensive high school offering both junior and senior high education. The senior high division comprises 40 classes, with 11 per grade level, and features specialized programs such as the English Gifted Program, Mathematics and Science Program, Sports Program, and the International Baccalaureate (IBDP) Program. Notably, in 2021,we became the first public school in Taiwan to offer the IBDP curriculum, reflecting our commitment to educational innovation. In pursuit of academic excellence and vibrant extracurricular activities, we provide community-based education, seamlessly blending localization, internationalization, and diversification.
Taipei Municipal Xisong High School has a total student enrollment of 1,241, comprising 170 in the junior high division and 1,071 in the senior high division. The Class of 2026 is composed of 352 students, 21 of whom are enrolled in the IBDP Programme. The majority of them hold Taiwanese citizenship, with only four holding foreign passports—two from Australia, one from Spain, and one from Indonesia. Beginning in 2024, IBDP graduates from Xisong have been accepted to universities both in Taiwan and abroad, including institutions in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
GPA is calculated based on the quality points listed below. Starting in grade 10, all courses—regardless of whether they are passed or failed—are included in the GPA calculation. To graduate, students must earn a minimum of 150 credits, including 102 from required courses and 40 from electives. Grades are recorded on the transcript, and GPA is calculated twice a year, in January and June.
