Families can sign up for time slots to pick up Chromebooks and other materials for their children at this link. We prefer students come by appointment only. Pickup days will be:
4th/5th grades: Wednesday, August 5th 8:15 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
2nd/3rd grades: Thursday, August 6th 8:15 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
TK/K/1st grades/SDC/Newcomer class: Friday, August 7th 8:15 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Since we have a limited number of Chromebooks, we are prioritizing Chromebooks for families that do not already have at least one device, as well as for students with IEPs and 504 plans.
Students need to arrive with one adult only to ensure we can maintain sufficient social distancing. Everyone will be required to wear a mask. Everyone will also be required to complete a questionnaire when they arrive to verify they have not experience COVID-like symptoms or had recent exposure to anyone diagnosed with COVID19.
Anyone who has experience such symptoms, or lives in the same household as someone with those symptoms, should not come pick up materials. We will make alternative arrangements for those families to receive materials.
Families will pick up these following:
At least one Chromebook
A bag with pencils, an eraser, whiteboard with marker, crayons, notebook, earbuds, and other items
A work packet to complete through August 14th (students won't have required online work assigned until August 17th)
Families will also complete paperwork including the emergency card, income verification form, and Chromebook agreement (you can read the agreement ahead of time here).
All parents will receive a letter in ParentSquare on Monday, August 3rd in ParentSquare with the name of their child's teacher and their child's login information. Teachers put a lot of effort into create classes that are balanced and suit each students' needs. We will not be making changes to these lists except in special circumstances. All teachers will be working collaboratively with their grade level teams, our academic coach, and Mr. Sampson to ensure all students across the school get a high-quality learning experience.
Students will start meeting with their teachers online on August 10th. Students will meet online with their teachers August 10th-14th 8:00-9:00 a.m. each day. The rest of the day, students can't work on their work packets and various online programs.
The first full week of instruction will be August 17th-21st. Students will meet online with their teachers for part of the morning, and complete work independently for the rest of the time. Students should plan to be completing work 8:00-11:50 a.m., and then eat lunch. After lunch, students may need to meet online with teachers or support staff, or they may be completing independent work.
