Wheeler Community,
It has been such a joy to see our community come together over the past few weeks! From the Fun Run to Movie Night to the exciting bounce house obstacle course provided by our amazing PTA, there have been so many opportunities for our Wildcats to learn, laugh, and make lasting memories together. These moments highlight the community spirit of Wheeler and the partnerships that make our school such a special place.
It’s hard to believe we are already approaching the end of the first quarter. Parent Conferences begin this week, and we are looking forward to connecting with you in person to celebrate your child’s growth and talk about the exciting goals ahead. We are shooting for 100% family participation for conferences! Click here for directions on how to sign up via ParentVUE Thank you for your continued support—you are an essential part of the Wheeler Wildcat community!

Our October classroom counseling lessons in grades K-5 will focus on skills of resiliency, coping skills and how to get help for oneself and/or a friend. These lessons are intended to educate students on feelings of stress, worry, sadness, how to cope with such feelings, and how to ask for help if needed. Students will identify coping strategies and trusted adults at school and outside of school to whom they can go for help. Please talk with your child about these feelings, and reinforce appropriate coping strategies such as talking with a trusted adult, exercising, or doing an activity they enjoy. Please contact Victoria Reynolds at vlhasiak@mpsomaha.org with any questions!
