Students will apply to a college directly on their website or through the Common App. Ask your counselor which way you should apply.

What is Common App? The Common Application is a nonprofit partnership that includes 1,000+ schools (only 4 in NE: Creighton, Hastings College, Nebraska Wesleyan University & UNL) and caters to private institutions and those looking to recruit more out-of-state students.

The Common Application takes more time to fill out and might require having more information on-hand to complete, including essays and personal statements to each school to which students are applying. The application fee for the Common Application varies by institution and depends on how many you choose. https://www.commonapp.org/
