This is a self-paced session. Time is being offered to complete your required Suicide Awareness & Prevention (QPR Course), Seizure Awareness, and Tech Ethics & FERPA Training. Please bring earbuds if you prefer to use your own. Laptops will be provided and Leadership & Learning will be on hand to assist with any technology questions. Hourly Behavior and De-escalation Training (Course #35171) (Session time 8:30am-10:00am) Location: MNHS - 1010 S 144th St
What do you do when a student says “No!” and refuses to comply with a request? How do you respond when students demonstrate unexpected behaviors? This session will explore effective, efficient, and easy-to-implement behavior management strategies. Dive into prevention strategies, behavioral interventions, reinforcement approaches, and effective commands. You will feel confident in applying specific strategies for the purposes of positively managing individual and group behaviors that encourage and support academic, behavioral, and social learning for all students.
