BACK TO SCHOOL CHECKLIST: 2025-2026
REQUIRED STEP FOR ALL RETURNING GRACE ABBOTT FAMILIES
(New Students & Kindergarten Students should have already completed this!)
Register your child(ren) for 25-26 through the Synergy Parent VUE Website: ParentVUE/StudentVUE
Families will complete the Annual Update - If you have already completed this step, Thank You!
Once registered for the year, you will be able to see your child's 25-26 teacher.
Technology
If your child(ren) went to summer school, please return their iPad and charger to school as soon as possible to the front office! This helps us get them turned over for the 25-26 school year.
3-5 Students ONLY:
Accidents happen! 3-5 students can pay a Cooperative Loss Agreement (like insurance) for their iPad. Please know if you indicate "No" any damages that may occur will be at full price. All MPS Tech Documents & Information can be found here.
Cooperative Loss fee can be paid online in Synergy Parent VUE. This fee does not carry over from year to year. It is strongly suggested that families consider paying the fee.
Health Information
The health room is ready for student medications. Please bring them to Open House, if possible! You will have a form to fill out for each medication at school.
If your child has a major health concern, a medical meeting will be set up at the beginning of the year to review with your child's team. Teachers additionally review student health plans before the start of the school year. If you have any concerns to share, please do so before the first day of school!
Breakfast/Lunch Money
Families may use the MySchoolBucks website at any time. There is a fee to use this website.
Families may also send a check or cash with their student on the first day of school & throughout the school year. Please CLEARLY LABEL any money you send to school with your child's name!
Food Services Website (Meal pricing, menus, etc.)
Abbott Breakfast is served from 7:55-8:15 am, daily.
Lunch Visitors: We welcome visitors for lunch at Abbott after Labor Day! Thank you for your help with this, as we take the first few weeks to get in a routine with each grade level.
Grace Abbott GEAR!
If you'd like to order some Abbott gear, the store will be open through August 31st! Items are sent to school and then distributed home.

Picture Day!
Thursday, August 7th, 3:00 - 6:30 PM at OPEN HOUSE (Open House is 5:00-6:15 PM)
Pre-order BEFORE coming to picture day!
Please stop by before or during open house to have your child(ren)'s school photo taken in the gym.
Follow the directions on the flyer or use this LINK to pre-order today!
Retake day is September 16th if you miss Open House or you need a new photo.
Gator Fun Run T-Shirt Sign-Up!
Please fill out your child's t-shirt size on this Google Form. If you have more than one child at Abbott, please fill out a form for each child.
Our Fun Run will be held on Friday, September 26th! Mark your calendar!

August 7: Open House (5-6:15 PM) & Picture Day (3-6:30 PM)
August 12: First Day of School! Meet on the playground! Parents grab a coffee & donuts with the AVT after students enter at 8:25 AM.
Review Car Line Procedures & Safety
CAR LINE SAFETY
At school, we put many things in place to protect all children. Please respect our students and their safety by following the speed limit, adhering to our parking lot procedures, staying off your phone, and demonstrating patience at all times.
All students need to enter and exit alongside a curb.
Do not exit your vehicle to help your child out of the vehicle, or in the vehicle, unless you're parked in a designated area.
If there is room in front of your vehicle, please pull forward.
Many families also have a plan for a meeting spot after school. We encourage you to practice this before the first day of school! We know you always plan to be there, but sometimes things come up. It's also important to discuss with your child what happens if you're not there - and what they should do!
