Meet The Preschool Team

Preschool Overview

Our Preschool is a Special Education program for those students requiring intervention services.  While at school children learn and develop many important skills, such as developing enthusiasm toward learning, language skills, listening skills, cooperatively playing with others, number and letter recognition, handwriting skills, name writing, social skills, proper use of school materials, following routines, and developing independence and self help skills.

In Preschool we follow the Big Day for Pre-K Curriculum and the Fundations program for letter introduction. Our preschoolers receive a hands-on, multi-sensory instructional approach, that actively involves them in their learning. Our preschoolers explore the outdoors daily, on their own age appropriate playground with many gross motor opportunities including tricycles, slides, and a climbing wall.  Students engage in Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy whole group lessons each week to help promote development of speech, gross motor, and fine motor skills.

Our preschools explore learning centers daily where they engage their imaginations and learn how to appropriately interact with their peers. Students learn important social skills, how to share, and how to problem solve during free play both outside and during learning centers.
