Principal Lion-Bailey

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the principal of Mountain Way School. I bring over eighteen years of experience in public education. Prior to joining the Morris Plains community, I was a middle school social studies teacher in Montvale, NJ. In 2015, I joined the Morris Plains School District where I have served as the Director of Technology & Innovation and the Mountain Way Principal. It is my greatest joy to welcome the children of Morris Plains to their first public school experience recognizing that their time at Mountain Way sets the tone for the educational journey moving forward.

As an educator, I believe strongly in educating the whole child, placing an equally important emphasis on academics as the social and emotional development of our students. Ensuring that every child's individual need are met provides a clear path for them to access their learning in a meaningful and purposeful way. At Mountain Way School we strive to develop a strong sense of community where every child feels valued, celebrated, and present.
