The 6th grade science classes came to the Innovation Center twice. The first visit was to launch their bee unit. They used the ClassVR to look at bees and explore their habitats
The second visit, they worked with our Food Corp Educator to learn about the food we eat thanks to the work of pollinators. They also had a chance to taste test some local honey.
Then students had a choice of creating flowers using 3D Doodler pens. Or they could use the sphero robots to code the movement of bees. Including the flying and movement from flower to flower.
The 7th grade science classes came down to the Innovation Center to work with our Food Corp Educator and construct the 9 Hydroponic systems that will be going in classrooms around the school.
