This year, we donated $1000 to the Phoenix Dream Center. Our council sponsored a victim's healing from human trafficking abuse. Human trafficking has become a major issue for our council. We have become increasingly more informed and it has become the #1 societal issue to pass along to our school with awareness banners and social media posts. Less than 1% of human trafficking victims are recovered. The Phoenix Dream Center gives survivors the home and support they've never had.
Founded in 2002, Phoenix Dream Center's mission is to end the horrors of human trafficking and child hunger while also educating leaders of tomorrow. How? Phoenix Dream Center utilizes residential life recovery programs and community engagement outreach services to change the lives of thousands. This nonprofit organization is primarily volunteer driven. 100% of all donations directly goes to the program services. (This background photo is an example of a room we helped build.)
