Testing Accommodations

The ACT, College Board, and IB have processes in place for students with documentated disabilities or English Language supports to receive accommodations or supports.

Students and families are encouraged to start early and to educate themselves using either the College Board's or ACT's online websites.

Students are especially encouraged to communicate with IEP case manager, 504 Coordinator, EL teacher, or Tara Mennitt when they register for a test (AP, PSAT, IB, or ACT) to confirm their accommodations or initiate the accommodations request process.

The decision to grant the requests for accommodations are made by these testing companies, not Washburn.

ACT National vs. Special Testing?

Most students receive national testing accommodations. In order to confirm their spot at a national test site, it's recommended they select national when registering.
